Overview:

Support of Supplier Quality processes and strategic initiatives to ensure that the quality of Collins’ suppliers’ products is compliant with internal and regulatory standards . Supports supplier quality strategic initiatives related to prevention, monitoring, escalation, and processing of supplier nonconforming material. Supports supplier onboarding, process changes and work transfers. Supports source inspection and material release processes. Proactively supports the Collins supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability. Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues, and develops and implements supplier quality strategic initiatives. Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all contract requirements through the use of APQP.

Job Responsiblities:

• Analyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of supplier planning, strategy, work transfer, metrics, escape management, and development.
• Supports the analysis of supplier quality data and development to develop and support strategic projects to reduce risk throughout the supply base.
• Supports training and guidance for root cause analysis & problem solving (Red-X & 8D) in escape management procedures.
• Supports processes and procedures for supplier qualification, work transfer, supplier monitoring and development, product safety, and APQP.
• Drives support for continuous improvement and sustainability within Supplier Quality and the supply base.
• Reviews processes and metrics to ensure supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management through APQP.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering -Mechanical / Electronics, or a related field with 7-10 years of experience.

 Working knowledge of:

• Quality Function - Aerospace / Automotive

Experience in:

·       Six sigma  

·       SAP  - Quality Function T-Codes

·        FAI as per AS9102 

•     Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•     Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a global team environment.
