Description
Life. Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.
Ready to build your career in medical technology sales? As a Sales Associate, you will be based in London and cover the London territory, building trusted customer relationships, developing your commercial expertise and identifying opportunities to grow our business.
What will you be doing?
You will take an active role in developing the London territory with NHS and private customers, promoting our product portfolio within key accounts and working towards agreed sales objectives while delivering a high level of service and technical advice to our customers.
As you build your knowledge of the territory, you will develop a strong understanding of existing customers, business potential, purchasing protocols, competitor activity and market trends. You will identify opportunities to grow business with existing customers and develop new relationships, following up sales leads and customer enquiries to make the most of every opportunity.
You will also provide technical advice and product training to customers, manage company assets within your territory and work closely with colleagues across Smith+Nephew to identify opportunities for the wider business.
What will you need to be successful?
Success in this role will come from combining strong relationship building skills with commercial curiosity, excellent organisation and a willingness to develop in depth product and territory knowledge. You will be comfortable working independently in the field, travelling regularly and building the expertise needed to provide customers with a first class service.
- Degree level education or equivalent in a science or business based subject.
- You could either be a new graduate, or someone with clinical skills that wants to transition into a commercial career.
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective planning and organisation skills, with the ability to develop detailed knowledge of your customers, territory and market.
- Comfortable with extensive domestic travel across your territory.
