Overview:

Sentara Medical Group- Pediatric Physicians Camelot Clinic is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our exceptional team. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated pediatric care team, support providers, coordinate patient care, and help families navigate their healthcare experience. This position offers up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates.

Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM | Day Shift

Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

 

Experience

• Less than a year of related experience is required

• Previous Certified Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or ambulatory care setting, with pediatric experience strongly preferred.

 

Education

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required

 

Certification/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
