Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients in partnership with a credit team. Key responsibilities include independently managing transactions or portfolios of limited to moderate complexity, completing and reviewing credit analysis, evaluating risks, and writing financial analysis. Job expectations include leading the process, ensuring timely and accurate analysis, and coaching teammates on credit requirements.

CREB Senior Underwriter (SUW) is responsible for performing deal analysis, preparation of supporting justification, and processing approvals. The SUW has understanding of key policies and regulations for applicability/impact to a transaction. The SUW is a senior member of the CREB market team, is aligned to LOB regions/markets, working with the Credit Officer teams in a specific market and is assigned a portfolio of clients. The SUW is typically an individual contributor who reports to a CREB Senior Credit Product Manager. However, the SUW pairs with a Credit Officer based on assigned relationships and they work as a team to jointly underwrite and close new CRE transactions as well as perform material modification to existing facilities. The SUW will also advise the CREB portfolio group with any post closing credit actions as needed. Successful candidates will possess functional expertise and will have demonstrated strong performance with a focus on collaboration, driving operational excellence and the ability to influence leaders, peers and clients. The SUW will be responsible for underwriting all aspects of a transaction (i.e., construction debt, non-FHA perm debt and equity) for all product types.

Responsibilities:

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Works independently with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
• New deal analysis and supporting justification; prepare credit approval documents; Support Credit Officer on DSM, Term Sheets, and Loan Closings;
• CAM preparation and collateral analysis; Data input and capture for new originations 

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years Commercial Real Estate related experience
• Adept at gathering and analyzing market and portfolio information
• Solid experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management,
• Strong analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.

Pay range

$125,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
