This is a high-impact role for a commercially astute, client-centred leader who can translate complex needs into innovative, bankable solutions—balancing risk, return and strategic value while strengthening our Transactional Banking franchise across local and international markets.
Job Description
Your key accountabilities will be;
- Partnering with Sales and Coverage to identify high-value opportunities, deepen client penetration and grow sustainable revenue.

- Bringing authoritative subject-matter expertise to client discussions, solution workshops and commercial negotiations.
Deliver integrated solutions;
- Bringing Product, Sales, Coverage, Credit, Legal, Compliance and Operations together around integrated, client-led solutions.
- Coordinating complex stakeholder inputs, resolve execution barriers and maintain momentum through the full transaction lifecycle.
Turn market insight into innovation;
- Tracking market trends, changing client needs and competitive developments across Trade and Working Capital.
- Identifying opportunities to sharpen propositions, strengthen structuring capabilities and create differentiated client value.
Influence across the enterprise;
- Building strong, trusted partnerships across Transactional Banking, Coverage, Product and the broader Corporate and Investment Bank.
- Influencing senior stakeholders, create alignment and mobilise the expertise required to deliver strategic client opportunities.
Lead with sound governance;
- Ensuring structured solutions meet all applicable regulatory, legal, compliance, credit and governance requirements.
- Embedding disciplined risk management and sound judgement from origination through execution and ongoing management.

- A relevant degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Banking, Law or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification or professional banking, treasury or trade finance credential would be advantageous.
- 8–12 years’ experience in Trade Finance, Trade and Working Capital, Transactional Banking, Corporate Banking or Structured Trade Solutions.
- A proven track record of structuring and executing complex trade and working capital transactions.
- Deep understanding of trade finance, supply chain finance, guarantees, receivables and payables solutions.
- Strong commercial judgement, client engagement and negotiation capability.
- Demonstrated success working across Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Operations in a complex, matrixed banking environment.
Education
