Description

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead our Cleanroom & Mechanical & Electrical projects in Shah Alam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, technical expertise, and proven leadership skills to ensure successful delivery of high-quality projects within scope, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Governance & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of cleanroom design, construction, MEP and architectural works from contract award through final handover.
  • Manage MEP systems including HVAC/AHU, filtration, piping and related cleanroom infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain master project schedules, work breakdown structures and critical-path milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure delivery within agreed scope, schedule, quality and budget.
  • Manage project profitability, cash flow, progressive claims, variations and overall budget allocation.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, EPC consultants, main contractors and internal management.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings, weekly site progress reviews, management briefings and formal project reporting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders.
  • Negotiate project variations, scope changes and contractual claims with clients and subcontractors.
  • Proactively manage project issues and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Vendor, Procurement & Site Management

  • Lead and coordinate project engineers, site supervisors and MEP subcontractors.
  • Ensure daily project milestones, quality standards and site safety requirements are achieved.
  • Oversee procurement strategies for critical and long-lead cleanroom equipment, including:
    • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
    • Chilled Water Plant
    • HEPA/ULPA filtration units
    • Sandwich panels
    • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Manage subcontractor tendering, evaluation, appointment and performance.
  • Coordinate procurement and project resources to minimise potential schedule delays.

Compliance, Validation & Handover

  • Drive cleanroom qualification and validation activities, including:
    • Design Qualification (DQ)
    • Installation Qualification (IQ)
    • Operational Qualification (OQ)
    • Performance Qualification (PQ)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable cleanroom standards and Malaysian statutory requirements.
  • Oversee testing and balancing (TAB) documentation and reports.
  • Manage Validation Master Plans (VMP), as-built documentation and other project close-out requirements.
  • Coordinate operational training and final handover to clients.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 8–10 years of relevant working experience within the cleanroom and M&E industry.
  • Strong practical expertise in at least one relevant engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and delivering cleanroom and M&E installation projects is mandatory.
  • Candidates with cleanroom design experience will have an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom construction, MEP systems and project commissioning.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), CIDB Green Card and/or Certified Construction Project Manager qualification is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Strong command of spoken and written Mandarin.


Remuneration & Benefits

Salary: RM7,500 - RM12,000
