Overview

Join our growing Data Analytics team within the Applied Technology Practice and play a key role in helping clients design, deliver and adopt high-quality Power Platform solutions that improve how they manage information, automate processes and make decisions.

As a Senior Power Platform Consultant, you will combine deep technical expertise across Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate and the wider Microsoft ecosystem with a practical consulting mindset. You will work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges, shape solution options, challenge assumptions constructively and translate requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable low-code solutions.

This is a client-facing consulting role suited to someone who can operate as a senior technical specialist while also contributing to wider delivery leadership, capability development and business growth. You will act as a trusted advisor to project teams and clients, provide technical direction to colleagues, support bids and proposals where appropriate, and help strengthen the Power Platform capability through reusable patterns, assurance, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Your role

• Lead the design, development and ongoing improvement of Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, model-driven apps and wider Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.

• Work with clients, project teams and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, facilitate requirements discussions and translate complex or ambiguous challenges into practical digital solutions.

• Provide advisory input on Power Platform solution options, helping stakeholders understand technical trade-offs, delivery risks, licensing implications, governance considerations and opportunities for value.

• Configure and extend Dataverse data models, relationships, business rules, forms, views, security roles, environment settings, APIs and appropriate integration patterns.

• Develop canvas apps, model-driven apps and Power Automate cloud flows using appropriate Power Fx, connectors, reusable components and maintainable design patterns.

• Design and support integrations with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Azure services and external systems where appropriate.

• Own or lead Power Platform workstreams through discovery, design, build, test, deployment, adoption and continuous improvement activities.

• Investigate and resolve complex issues across apps, flows, Dataverse, connectors, permissions, integrations and deployments, applying structured problem-solving and sound technical judgement.

• Ensure solutions align with organisational governance, cyber security, data protection, licensing, regulatory and client assurance requirements.

• Apply good ALM practices, including solution packaging, environment strategy, deployment planning, documentation, release governance and appropriate technical assurance.

• Act as a senior technical specialist within the Data Analytics and Applied Technology community, providing guidance, peer review, coaching and mentoring to junior developers and less experienced Power Platform makers.

• Contribute to the development of reusable delivery patterns, templates, standards, technical guidance and lessons learned that improve consistency, quality and scalability across Power Platform projects.

• Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, identifying opportunities where Power Platform, automation, analytics or wider digital capability can deliver additional value.

• Support business development activity where appropriate, including contributing technical content to bids, proposals, demonstrations, case studies, solution shaping and capability development.

• Promote good practice in user-centred design, accessibility, adoption, supportability and maintainability so that delivered solutions create lasting value beyond initial deployment.

About you

• Experience developing Power Platform solutions, including canvas apps, Dataverse, Power Automate and model-driven apps.

• Strong understanding of Dataverse architecture, relational data modelling, security model, environment administration and ALM.

• Experience delivering enterprise-grade Power Platform solutions in regulated or governance-led environments.

• Experience using the wider Dataverse capability set, including custom connectors, APIs and appropriate integration patterns to support secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

• Good knowledge of Power Fx, Power Automate expressions, Dataverse configuration and solution deployment approaches.

• Experience integrating Power Platform with Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, Outlook and Power BI.

• Strong stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering and solution design skills.

• UK SC clearance required, or willingness and eligibility to obtain it where required.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio to design, build and integrate copilots or agents with Power Platform solutions and enterprise data sources.

• Experience developing custom code components, including Power Apps Component Framework controls, using appropriate web development technologies and Microsoft development tooling.

• Experience developing and deploying Dataverse plug-ins using C# to implement server-side business logic, validation and integration requirements.

• Experience developing Dataverse workflow extensions or custom workflow activities where standard Power Automate and platform capabilities are not sufficient.

• Microsoft Power Platform certifications desirable, particularly PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, AB-410, AB-100.
