In this role you will be working as a Supply Chain Buyer for a client that is in the electronic manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting production and customer deliveries.
This is a temp to possible perm role that must be performed on-site. The hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The pay is $35.00 to $45.00 an hour based on experience.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and MS Office
- Must have worked in ERP systems
- APICS CPIM/CSCP, CPSM certs are a plus (must have a willingness to obtain)
- Experience with procuring raw materials and components
- Experience coordinating inventory planning, replenishment, and forecasting activities with Production Control, Operations, Engineering, and Sales
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, manage PO's, delivery schedules, expedites, and material shortages
- Experience leading supplier negotiations, RFQs, cost reduction initiatives, supplier evaluations, and continuous improvement efforts
- Experience with inventory accuracy initiatives, supplier evaluations, and continuous improvements
