7am - 3pm Monday - Friday with Occasional weekends, rotational on-call and holiday responsibilities

Summary:
Provides delivery, set up, and pick up services for all durable medical equipment, oxygen, and medical supplies to patients and families. Instructs patients and families on the proper use of equipment. Responsible for cleaning and repairing equipment, stocking equipment and supplies, keeping repair area clean and organized. Completes appropriate paperwork. In addition, some warehouse duties are included.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery, set up, and pick up of all durable medical equipment, oxygen, and medical supplies.
Instructs patients/families on proper use of equipment consistent with the Hospice standards of care.
Inspects equipment to ensure it is in good working order, clean, adjusted, and operating properly.
Completes documentation including logging of equipment, delivery, and pick up including serial numbers.
Demonstrates appropriate infection control, hand hygiene, waste disposal, use of personal protective equipment, bag disposal technique, and knowledge of standard precautions.
Unloads equipment and returns to proper section of warehouse. Clearly tags items as repair, dirty, client refused, or simple restocking.
Participates in routine warehouse duties including cleaning equipment, maintaining stock, general equipment repairs, etc.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Expected to perform additional duties.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
High school diploma/GED preferred.
Valid Driver's License, free of serious violations
Experience
Experience working with DME preferred
Knowledge of FDA, DOT, OSHA, NYS and Federal regulations and standards helpful.
