## The impact you’ll make

As a Global Product Support Engineer at Lam, you're a key technical support resource for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel. Your expertise is crucial in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex semiconductor equipment. Your swift action in responding to situations is critical in resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction of Lam’s customers.

## What you’ll do

· Responsible for providing quality on-site repair and maintenance service of complex electro-mechanical systems.

· Perform analytical troubleshooting of technical problems to component level.

· Performs complete installation/relocation start-up services.

· Troubleshoots equipment problems and conducts diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and take steps to minimize downtime or system interruptions and eliminate equipment malfunctions. Determines corrective actions as required.

· Perform installations and/or relocations of equipment at customers’ sites.

· Remain up to date on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials.

· Assist in complex field modifications and updates as released in Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs).

· Maintain records and reports as required to properly coordinate activities with supervisors and customers.

· Plan, manage, and execute projects of a limited scope and duration.

· Represent Lam by creating technical materials and presenting technical findings to the customer.

· Creates and presents reports related to design, reliability, maintenance problems, software bugs, projects, and escalations to the relevant Product groups.

## Who we’re looking for

· Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

· Able to work rapidly for prolonged periods of time, including bending, stooping, reaching, walking, sitting, and standing in one location.

· Understand and work from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.

· Ability to interpret operating manuals to determine the root cause of tool failures.

· Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Work independently, cooperatively in a team, or with customers, completing assignments with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.

· Adhere to customer rules and policies regarding worksite behavior and safety.

· Able to travel internationally frequently (>40%).

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $86,000.00 - $192,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
