About the Role
We are looking for a 2 highly organised, commercially minded Account Executives - one for the Retail Channel and the other for RTM team (Wholesale), on a 12-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to a Senior National Account Manager or National Account Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our commercial plans across some of Ireland's largest retail and wholesale customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Key Account Management, gaining exposure to customer planning, forecasting, commercial analysis, trade investment, and cross-functional leadership within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer & Commercial Support
- Partner closely with the Key Account Manager (KAM) to support the day-to-day management of key retail and wholesale customers.
- Assist in delivering Joint Business Plans (JBPs), promotional programmes and customer growth initiatives.
- Prepare customer presentations, business reviews and commercial recommendations using internal and external market data.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of customer plans.
Sales Reporting & Business Performance
- Produce accurate and timely sales reporting to support the Business Performance Management (BPM) process.
- Maintain and analyse Daily Deliveries, sales performance and customer trends.
- Support weekly and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring forecasts are submitted accurately and on time.
- Monitor customer performance against targets, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Forecasting & Planning
- Support demand forecasting by working closely with Sales, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams.
- Ensure customer forecasts remain accurate and reflect promotional activity, seasonal trends and commercial plans.
- Identify variances and recommend corrective actions where required.
Commercial Process Excellence
- Own and maintain CPP Control Files, ensuring all pricing, promotions and commercial agreements are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure Vision investment systems are maintained accurately, supporting strong trade investment governance.
- Monitor promotional performance and support post-promotion evaluation.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Develop strong working relationships with Customer Marketing (CMO), Customer Service (CS), Supply Chain, Finance and Revenue Growth Management teams.
- Ensure product information, launches and customer requirements are communicated accurately across the business.
- Support the successful execution of new product launches and promotional activity.
Credit & Trade Investment Support
- Partner with the Credit Control and Trade Investment teams to ensure timely clearance of customer credits and debits.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Support accurate customer account reconciliation.
Compliance & Governance
- Lead the compliance agenda within the customer team.
- Ensure all commercial agreements, pricing approvals and investment documentation are fully compliant with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and evidence to support internal and external audit requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in ways of working and process compliance.
About you
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in Sales Support, Commercial Administration, Customer Service or FMCG.
- Strong analytical capability with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Commercial mindset with an interest in developing a career in Key Account Management.
Desirable
- Experience within FMCG, Retail or Wholesale.
- Knowledge of forecasting, sales reporting or trade investment processes.
- Experience using SAP, Vision or similar commercial systems.
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
