Responsibilities
BT Prep is Baker Tilly’s (BT) nationally centralized “processing center” established to gain efficiency, standardize processes, reduce costs but most importantly to more effectively utilize the time of our accounting professionals
This position is responsible for routinely working on specific data within the Assurance service line that requires critical thinking and some technical expertise to interpret, manipulate and input data into specific software. This position most often works with initial client-provided data and is typically not responsible for completion of client deliverable. deliverables
What you will do:
Initial preparation of Audit, EBP Audits and SSARS engagements, and similar.
Deliver high level skill in a range of standard tasks.
Examine and analyze data records.
Interpret information provided based on similar information from prior year and/or similar clients.
Use standard procedures to enter information and identify issues
Input information into appropriate software.
Input clear and concise notes for missing items and questions.
Maintain and expand knowledge base
Utilize training material supplied to develop and keep skills and knowledge current.
Attend courses on subject matter when necessary
Increase efficiencies, technical ability and interpersonal skills
Gain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the teams role
Understand how performed tasks integrate into the overall process
Engage and participate in special projects or complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Availability to work minimum 30 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time; schedule must span at least 4 days/week with minimum 4 consecutive hours/day)
Previous audit or assurance experience highly preferred
Associate degree or above highly preferred
Has experience with and proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat, preferred
Demonstrates ability to be adaptable to technology and work in a paperless environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and independence with respect to client information
Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in a range of standard tasks
Demonstrates ability to manage workload effectively and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal maturity
Demonstrates ability to work with others
Ability to work independently
The pay rate range for this job position is $20.23 to $49.10. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
