Overview:


 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday - 2 to 3 times a week.
  • 6 to 8 hour shifts.
  • Morning and evening availability.

Assists radiologic technologists in preparing patients for procedures, positioning patients, and operating imaging equipment.


 

Job Description:


 

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
  • Operates and maintains radiologic equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Assists radiologic technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Monitors patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Maintains patient records and ensures that all necessary information is accurately documented.
  • Follows safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.


Education Requirement:

  • High School graduate or equivalent, required.
  • Current student ofan accredited Radiologic Technology Program, preferred.


Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

CPR certification, required.


Skills:

  • Ability to learn new procedures,follow instructions, and establish professional rapport with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.


Experience:

Three quarters of experience as a student radiographer, preferred.


Physical Requirements:

OCCASIONALLY: Biohazard waste, Decision Making, Flexing/extending of neck, Lifting / Carrying: 61-100 lbs, Loud Noises, Patient Equipment, Pushing / Pulling: 100 lbs or greater with assistance, Pushing / Pulling: 61-100 lbs

FREQUENTLY: Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 41-60 lbs, Machinery, Problem solving, Pushing / Pulling: 41-60 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Repetitive hand/arm use

CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Bend/twist, Color vision, Computer skills, Depth perception, Hearing acuity, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Peripheral vision, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 26-40 lbs, Seeing – Far/near, Sitting, Squat/kneel, Standing, Walking

Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
