Introduction
An exciting opportunity is available for an Intermediate Software Engineer to join a dynamic software development environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging and implementing software applications in line with business and technical requirements. You will work across the software development lifecycle, contributing to new applications as well as analysing and improving existing solutions.
This opportunity would suit a hands-on developer who enjoys problem-solving, quality software engineering and solution architecture, while also being comfortable collaborating with and supporting other engineers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug and maintain software applications.
- Develop program logic for new applications and enhance existing applications.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and integrate application components.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform quality assurance.
- Participate in application delivery and ongoing maintenance.
- Contribute to solution architecture and technical documentation.
- Support and mentor team members where required.
- Contribute to the organisation's SDLC, engineering processes and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process and system improvement.
- Maintain appropriate information security and data privacy standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years' relevant software development experience.
- Experience working within a professional software development team.
- Demonstrated experience building and running Java or C# applications.
