City of Bothell is seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Worker to perform a wide range of Public Works Street Division maintenance duties, operate specialized heavy equipment, respond to customer concerns/emergencies, and complete assigned work safely and efficiently. This position also supports inspections, staff training and cross-training, documentation, and the delivery of exceptional service to the community.

Recruitment information: 
  • The first round of application will be reviewed on Friday, August 28, 2026
  • Default schedule will be the following: Mondays-Thursdays (4/10) every Friday off (6:00 am - 4:30 pm)
What will you do in this position?
  • Perform maintenance duties independently while safely operating a variety of specialized vehicles and motorized equipment, including front-end loaders, dump trucks, bulldozers, spreaders, graders, rollers, backhoes, and tractors. Ensures all work is performed in compliance with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Respond professionally to resident and customer complaints and concerns and conducts inspections as assigned.

  • Foster positive relationships between the City of Bothell and the community by providing courteous, responsive, and cooperative service to residents, visitors, customers, and City staff. Supports and promotes City goals, priorities, policies, and procedures.

  • Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently and maintains required daily logs, records, and reports. Assists with training new and existing City staff and cross-trains in additional job functions to support operational needs.

  • Respond to emergency situations and provides required support on a 24-hour, as-needed basis.

  • Produce accurate, dependable, and high-quality work that meets or exceeds established standards. Reviews work carefully to identify and prevent errors.
  • Listen attentively to understand customer and community needs, responds appropriately with effective solutions, and demonstrates empathy and responsiveness.
  • Consistently provides dependable, high-quality service that supports positive outcomes for residents, customers, coworkers, and the organization.
