Junior Research Analyst - Corporate Governance Research (New Graduates)

OVERVIEW
 

ISS STOXX is hiring! We are seeking Junior Research Analyst to join the ISS STOXX Research Team. The main responsibility is to analyze proxy statements to complete proxy analyses for shareholders' meetings of publicly traded companies covered by ISS' Research team.

This position will be based in Ayala North Exchange Makati and will report to the lead of Research handling a specific market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gain understanding of investment and shareholder issues gathered through fundamental research.
• Distill financial and corporate governance information to write research reports and issue proxy vote recommendations based on ISS' policy guidelines.
• Maintain advanced understanding of compensation, board, and shareholder rights issues.
• Answer internal or external issuer queries on research reports and be able to discuss policy issues.
• Actively participate in various working committees and/or special projects
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
• Knowledge in investment analysis and/or financial research, or other business-related areas
• Basic analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues
• Understanding of corporate governance issues, corporate transactions, and capital markets
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
• Average knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Amenable to working on extended hours (overtime, holiday & weekend work) as needed by the business.
• Willing to work for a full-time contractual/temporary employment that will last for 5 to 6 months.
  
  

WORK LOCATION & SCHEDULE

• Amenable working on a dayshift schedule. Our office is located at 12/F Ayala North Exchange Tower 2, Makati.
