Fullstack Platform Engineer

WePush is a creator marketplace connecting brands with creators at scale. We’re looking for an experienced Fullstack Platform Engineer who enjoys architecture, infrastructure, and running real systems in production end-to-end.

This is a hands-on startup role, not a narrow DevOps position. You’ll build backend features, improve our infrastructure, and own what you ship from design to production.

## Tasks

**What you’ll do**

• Build backend services and APIs for campaigns, creator matching, marketplace operations, and payments.
• Design clear domain models, database schemas, and service boundaries.
• Build reliable background jobs that handle concurrency, retries, and failures correctly.
• Contribute to our Web, Android, and iOS frontend when features require end-to-end ownership.
• Improve deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, backups, and recovery.
• Debug issues across application code, databases, infrastructure, and third-party APIs.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions while continuing to ship quickly.
• Use AI coding agents as a core part of your daily development workflow.

## Requirements

**What we’re looking for:**

• Strong backend engineering experience in production environments.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, relational databases, transactions, locking, and data modelling.
• Experience with Docker, Linux, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
• A good understanding of queues, scheduled jobs, APIs, networking, security, and observability.
• Confidence reasoning about concurrency, idempotency, partial failures, and recovery.
• Strong debugging skills across the full system.
• Startup experience or a strong bias toward ownership and execution.
• Good product judgment and an instinct for avoiding unnecessary complexity.
• Experience using AI coding agents to plan, implement, test, review, and document software.
• The ability to critically review, iterate on, and improve AI-generated code until it is high-quality and production-ready.

Our stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Docker, Linux, and Hack. Experience with every technology is not required, we care more about strong fundamentals and the ability to learn.

**AI-native engineering:**

Using AI agents is a requirement for this role, not an optional productivity tool.

We expect you to use them throughout the development process: exploring unfamiliar code, planning changes, implementing features, writing tests, investigating failures, reviewing work, and maintaining documentation.

This does not mean accepting generated code without understanding it. You remain responsible for architecture, security, correctness, and production outcomes. We are looking for someone who knows how to give agents useful context, break work into verifiable steps, review their output critically, and use them to increase both speed and quality.
