Position Summary:

Midnight Sun is looking to hire an Operator / Laborer for operation of an excavator to load soil into trucks for disposal. Other laborer duties to assist construction work will be required. This project is prevailing wage; hourly rate will be as required by contracted wage determinations and job description. This work is scheduled to be completed in approximately 90 days.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment daily to assure it is in proper condition to operate.
• Load trucks using excavator.
• Proficiency with small tools.
• Perform other laborer duties to assist with construction activities as needed.
• Comply with all company policies and applicable federal, state and local laws and safety standards.
• Must have An Uncompromising Commitment to Safety!
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Driver's license is required with a clean driving record.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER, OSHA 30, CPR training preferred.
• Must pass a Drug Test and background checks.
• Prior experience with safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment and observance of traffic laws and regulations as well as OSHA Standards.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or less.
