Job Overview:

This role leads the Telco Security architecture for the Group by defining frameworks and standards, assessing complex network technologies, identifying and reducing telecom‑specific risks, guiding vendors and major transformation projects, and providing expert security advisory across all Telco domains.

Role Insights:

• Develop and maintain the Group Telco Security framework, security requirements, technical standards, baselines, guidelines, and security architecture principles.
• Provide specialized security expertise across telecommunications technologies such as 5G, mobile core and access networks, fixed and FTTH networks, IP/MPLS and transport networks, OSS/BSS, virtualization, cloud-native Telco platforms, and service provider technologies.
• Perform and support Telco Security architecture reviews, secure design assessments, and technical security assessments for strategic network projects and major technology transformations.
• Identify and assess Telco-specific security risks, vulnerabilities, threats, and architecture weaknesses and provide expert recommendations for risk reduction.
• Support Group-wide Telco Security risk assessments and integrate identified risks and findings into central Risk and GAP Management processes.
• Define Telco-specific vulnerability management requirements and prioritization criteria and provide expert support for remediation planning.
• Analyze telecom-specific threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, vendor advisories, emerging attack techniques, and technology risks and translate them into actionable security recommendations.
• Define and support security requirements for Telco vendors, technology suppliers, and supply chains.
• Coordinate specialized Telco penetration testing and technical security assessments, including engagement of qualified external specialists where required.
• Contribute to Telco Security maturity assessments, risk dashboards, management reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop technical guidance and facilitate knowledge sharing and competence development across Security and Telco teams.
• Ensure alignment of Telco Security requirements with relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks, including applicable 3GPP, GSMA, ISO 27001, NIS2, and national requirements.
• Provide specialist advisory support during complex Telco security incidents, while respecting applicable regulatory and operational boundaries.

What Makes You Unique:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related technical fields.
• Relevant professional experience in Telco Security, core networks, network security, or security architecture within a telecommunications environment.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies and architectures, with experience in one or more areas such as 5G/mobile networks, mobile core, FTTH, IP/MPLS, transport networks, OSS/BSS, virtualization, cloud-native Telco platforms, or service provider technologies.
• Good understanding of security architecture, secure design principles, technical risk assessment, vulnerability management, and security assurance in telecommunications environments.
• Familiarity with relevant Telco Security standards and frameworks, particularly 3GPP security standards, GSMA recommendations, ISO 27001, and NIS2.
• Understanding telecommunications-specific threats, vulnerabilities, signaling and network security risks, as well as security considerations related to strategic Telco vendors and supply chains.
• Ability to perform or contribute to security architecture reviews and technical security assessments and translate technical findings into clear risk-based recommendations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with network engineering, architecture, security, risk, and management teams.
• Fluent in English.
