About the role.
We're looking for an Inventory Coordinator to play a critical role in ensuring raw materials are available to production lines on time and in full, while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting customer service operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative operations team and contribute to the ongoing success of a leading FMCG manufacturing business.

Reporting into the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for managing raw material inventory, coordinating supplier deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting customer order management to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

You will work closely with Procurement, Planning, Quality, Warehouse and Production teams to optimise material availability, reduce supply risks and deliver excellent customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Ensure raw materials and ingredients are available to support production schedules

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain inventory accuracy across the site

  • Coordinate cycle counts, stocktakes and inventory reconciliations

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

  • Coordinate stock transfers and inbound freight movements

  • Manage supplier deliveries and follow up late or outstanding orders

  • Escalate supply risks and support contingency planning activities

  • Process goods receipting and maintain accurate SAP records

  • Coordinate supplier returns, quality rejections and claims

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to improve DIFOT performance

  • Liaise with Planning, Procurement and Quality teams regarding material supply and supplier performance

  • Support new product launches by ensuring materials are available on time

  • Coordinate samples for Marketing and Sales teams

  • Maintain all relevant supply chain documentation including purchase orders, invoices, delivery dockets and Certificates of Analysis

Customer Service & Export Coordination

  • Support customer order processing and order release activities in SAP

  • Provide sales support for independent customers and distributors

  • Coordinate export shipments, container bookings and stock transfers

  • Provide backup support for Customer Service and Inventory team members as required

About You

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience in a Materials Planning, Inventory Control, Supply Chain or Procurement role

  • Previous experience within an FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods or manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stock control processes

  • Experience using SAP, including inventory and goods receipting functions

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
