Implementation Manager
About the Role
Implementation Manager contributes to Hitachi’s responsibility to plan, manage and carry out installations in a railway environment, including site readiness, installation approvals, SAT support and handover to system integration and operation. Its specific contribution is to lead field execution planning, site readiness, installation/testing coordination and delivery integration.
Key Responsibilities
Define implementation strategy, installation sequence, resource model, logistics plan, access needs and site readiness criteria.
Coordinate Construction Manager, Site Manager, Installation Supervisors, suppliers, HSE, Quality, Planning and WPLs.
Ensure approved designs, materials, tools, permits, RAMS, access arrangements and quality records are ready before work release.
Track installation progress, constraints, productivity, defects, non-conformities and handover to T&C.
Lead site recovery actions while preserving safety, quality and configuration control.
Apply the Hitachi Code of Conduct in role-specific decisions, including ethical escalation, anti-bribery discipline, confidentiality, data protection, fair supplier/customer conduct and transparent records.
Lead field execution planning, site readiness, installation/testing coordination and delivery integration.
Owns field execution planning and integrated site-delivery sequencing within approved baseline.
Can reprioritize internal site activities within delegation and escalate access/readiness blockers.
Key Interfaces
Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Manager, Installation Design Manager, HSE Manager and Quality Manager.
Work Package Leaders, Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning Manager and T&C Manager.
Customer site/access teams, infrastructure owner and subcontractors.
Readiness reviews.
Authority & Accountability
Accountable for implementation strategy and safe, controlled site delivery readiness.
Authorised to prioritise implementation activities, request recovery plans and stop/reject work not ready for execution.
Escalates access, HSE, quality or productivity risks to Project Manager.
Mandate
Deliver the physical implementation phase safely and efficiently so installed systems are ready for commissioning and acceptance.
Skills & Experience
Implementation management experience in rail, electrical, telecoms, control systems or infrastructure Projects.
Strong site logistics, access planning, subcontractor coordination and installation-readiness skills.
Ability to manage competing site priorities and resource constraints.
Resilience and resistance to stress during possessions, access changes, supplier delays and recovery plans.
Practical leadership and safety-first mindset.
More than 7 years in implementation/site execution in brownfield rail or similarly constrained live environments.
