Warehouse functionality:
Main activities:
Receiving:
- Receives delivered stock in line with Goods Receiving Procedure and SLA’s
- Manages documents from deliveries and GRV process according to audit requirements
- Generates labels and labels delivered stock containers according to agreed process
- Accurately picks stock as per the manufacturing order pickslip according to the SOPs
- Signs, date and records the time on all pickslips processed to ensure traceability
- Hands picked stock over to production with an agreed count and sign off
- Complete stock movement accurately in M3 and with the scanner as dictated by the put away, pick slip or credit claim document
- Manage production stock returns according to agreed process and timelines
FG Picking:
- Accurately picks stock as dictated by the pickslip allocated to them as per the relevant SOPs to meet the SLA’ for customer order picking
- Checks orders against pickslips
- Packs stock for appropriate distribution Requirements (eg Hazardous, cold-chain, Schedule 5, fragile) in the most economical way.
- Ensures goods are handed over to courier for despatch within the prescribed timelines
Stock management:
- Performs cycle counts/bin verification on the aisle allocated to them and other areas as allocated by the
Warehouse Coordinator/ Supervisor/Management
- Prepares aisles for stock count and participates in stock count biannually
- Ensures hazardous and high scheduled materials are stored and handled appropriately, as required by relevant
SOP’s
- Report and removes damaged stock from the aisles
- Manages stock handling to minimise stock damages
- Reports any discrepancies in stock to Team Leader/Stock Controller as soon as they are identified (records on the Solid Waste Disposal Register)
- Prevent stock losses due to security breaches by keeping high risk cages locked at all times
- Return stock from credit claim to saleable bins as directed by Team leader in M3 and with the scanner
General:
- Ensure aisles are kept free of stock and clutter at all times
- Aisles are kept clean and tidy at all times
- Actions any other work related instructions given by Warehouse and I/O supervisors or management
Compliance
Main activities:
- Handles inventory according to the relevant SOP’s and processes
- Ensure cGMP/GDP and Housekeeping standards are maintained
- Adheres to safe work procedures and wears PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as per SOP’s and safety requirements according to task being performed and equipment being used
- Complies with all housekeeping, safety and GMP regulations and relevant Standard Operating Procedures relevant to their roles
- Participates in initiatives to ensure that the department does not receive critical findings in an audit
- Maintains a valid forklift license and carry it on their person at all times while driving a forklift
- Acts according to company policy at all times
Asset Management
Main activities:
- Maintains warehouse infrastructure in a neat and orderly condition.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively for warehouse processes
- Maintains equipment in a good condition and reports malfunctions timeously to team leader
- Ensures no damages occur due to negligence
- Reports all damaged stock, any equipment and infrastructure problems to Team Leader
- Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs
- Participates in stock counts when required
- Contribute towards a safe working environment and ensure no loss of time, accidents or damage to infrastructure
Requirements (Diploma and experience):
- Grade 12/Matric
- 2-5 years experience in Picking of stock
- 2-5 years experience in Checking and Dispatching of stock
- 2-5 years experience in Receiving of stock
- 2-5 years experience in Annual and Cycle stock counting
- Valid Forklift and Reach Truck licence
- Pharmaceutical warehousing related experience (Advantage)
- Pharmaceutical Sector experience (advantage)
