Infrastructure Risk and Control Lead
Technology is seeking a results-driven, self-directed individual to join Northern Trust as a Lead for Infrastructure Risk and Control group.
The Infrastructure Risk and Control Lead is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the Global Technology Risk and Control team and working with risk and control teams in other global sites to establish and maintain a highly effective IT control environment. You will be part of a dedicated and outstanding team that focuses on promoting control awareness and properly manage risks within the global information technology organization.
Responsibilities
Manage Technology Risk and Control to execute technology control assurance program, including control inventory, risk and control (PRC) framework, and full alignment with regulatory requirements as well as industry risk and control frameworks.
Leverage automation and analytics to build state of the art control testing and continuous control monitoring platform.
Manage execution of risk and control self-assessments, identification and evaluation of inherent risks, control strength and residual risks of key IT controls, and success execution of risk-based control testing program.
Review standards and policies.
Review Documentation. Ensure Documents are updated, current and version controlled.
Issue Management & Remediation – Support the identification, tracking, and sustainable closure of architecture-related findings, control gaps, and action plans, including coordination with owners and escalation of overdue or high-risk items.
Assist in the definition of the technology risk appetite statements and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Key Risk Indicators (KRI) against our technology risk appetite. Using automation and analytics, develop on-going technology risk reporting, monitoring key trends and defining metrics to regularly measure control effectives of technology.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Act as the liaison across architecture, engineering, resiliency, infrastructure controls, audit, and risk teams to ensure pragmatic control solutions and consistent risk messaging. Work with various Technology Teams in Infrastructure Technologies to remediate Security Vulnerabilities, Risk Review and Risk mitigation plan, Audit controls review and implementation.
Setting frameworks and manage technology regulatory compliance operations to ensure adequate reporting and timely response.
Influence behaviors to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture throughout the enterprise.
Daily, Weekly, Monthly review of Risks, Security.
Represent Technology Team in all Risk Governance, Audit Reviews.
Working well with a global team, leadership/management, other technical and business teams

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience in technology risk management, control functions, audit services experience, or similar experience with transferable skills.
Certification in IT Security viz CEH / CLPTP / CISSP / CISM preferred
In-depth understanding and experiences of information security, IT audit and/or IT risk management principles.
In-depth understanding of IT risk assessments and control testing, Risk Management Framework (Cobit), Experience of ITSM systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
Experience in automation and advanced data analytics, especially risk analytics preferred.
Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, including experiences in executive management relationship
Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams 6. Highly flexible and adaptable to change, technology forward thinking
Understanding of IT Infrastructure Technologies Middleware, Windows, Unix
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Shift Timings: 12:30PM to 9:30PM IST
