Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Baler Operator to join our operations team. In this role, you will safely operate industrial balers, shredders, and conveyors, manage inventory organization, and perform routine equipment maintenance to keep our facility running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely and efficiently operate the baler, shredder, and conveyor systems. Inspect and use all required safety equipment in compliance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
Inventory Management: Weigh and stack finished bales into designated inventory areas. Keep the unfinished inventory organized by stacking gaylords safely and maintaining a clean work area.
Routine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and repairs on machinery; maintain accurate weekly maintenance logs.
Warehouse Support: Assist warehouse teams on special projects and execute other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience: High School Diploma / GED (or equivalent practical experience).
Certifications: Active Forklift Operator Certification required.
Skills: Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and manuals; clear verbal communication skills.
Please note: Shift schedule 5 am - 3 pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday if needed.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Physical Strength: Regularly lift/move up to 40lbs, frequently up to 50lbs, and move up to 300lbs using proper equipment.
Mobility: Able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, and balance throughout shifts.
Environment: Works in an active industrial warehouse setting with moderate to loud noise levels. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, or work at heights.
