Responsibilities
Position Overview
We are looking for a Design Release Engineer specialized in Sealing Systems to work on the development and release of automotive components within the assigned scope, ensuring compliance with Quality, Cost, Delivery and Performance (QCDP) targets. The role involves supplier management, cross-functional coordination and technical ownership throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and validation of components within the assigned perimeter.
- Manage design and manufacturing suppliers to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with technical, functional, regulatory and styling requirements.
- Coordinate convergence activities with Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Simulation, Testing and Styling teams.
- Manage technical deliverables including 3D models, engineering drawings, specifications and APQP documentation.
- Work closely with design, simulation and validation teams to optimize sealing performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in automotive product development and component ownership.
- Knowledge of product development processes and APQP methodology.
- Previous experience in sealing
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional international teams.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
