Job Description Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is organized, self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working with others. You will provide support for college and department projects and initiatives, conduct research, and gather information as needed, assist with event planning and coordination, and other duties as needed. On-the-job training will be provided to help you develop skills and abilities that are highly valued in most modern workplaces.

Job Description

DUTIES AND TASKS:  

The candidate will assist the Tapia College of Business and Technology with daily operations including:

  • Provide support for department projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct research and gather information as needed.
  • Help maintain department records and databases.
  •  Assist with event planning and coordination.
  • Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students.
  • General office tasks (e.g. word processing, copying filing, data entry)
  •  Pickup and delivery of mail and other items

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong work ethic, exhibited through a solid record of attendance at other jobs and class.
  • Comfort using the Internet for research.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
