Description
Motivates class participants and upholds center policies and procedures while teaching classes. Prepares for class promptly with set-up and breakdown of equipment and materials. Instructs and monitors participants during class by showing proper form, use of equipment, and modifications based on participant skills and abilities. Completes all administrative responsibilities associated with developing, planning, and leading classes. Maintains a clean and safe environment for participants, staff, and other instructors before, during, and after class. Actively promotes and seeks new participants for all classes and provides exceptional customer service. Stays up to date with industry standards and subject matter trends. Communicate effectively with staff and all patrons. Participates in monthly meetings, events, and in-services. May perform additional duties related to their position.
Completion of 8th grade. Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently.
Six (6) months of experience teaching subject matter classes. Bilingual skills are preferred. CPR/First Aid certification.
