Are you interested in sustainability, regulatory frameworks, and the role of finance in driving sustainable transformation?
At PwC, you will join our ESG team supporting leading clients across financial services and other industries in navigating complex ESG regulations and embedding sustainability into financial decision-making.
As an Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, focusing on ESG compliance (CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD) and supporting the development of sustainable finance solutions.
What you will do
Support clients in understanding and implementing ESG regulations, including CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and CSDDD
Contribute to sustainable finance projects, including ESG integration, framework development, regulatory alignment, and support to clients in sustainability-linked bonds, green bonds, green loans, and other green finance transactions
Support ESG reporting processes, including preparation and review of ESG disclosures and metrics
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of ESG data, risks, and opportunities
Support financial institutions and corporates in integrating ESG considerations into decision-making processes and financing strategies, including green and sustainability-linked instruments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international PwC network on ESG engagements
Stay up to date with evolving sustainability regulations and sustainable finance trends
What we are looking for
University degree (or final-year student), preferably in:
Finance, banking, economics or related fields
Strong interest in ESG, regulatory topics, and sustainable finance
Motivation to build expertise in ESG compliance and sustainable finance frameworks
Analytical mindset and strong data interpretation skills
Strong Excel skills are preferred
Understanding of financial concepts (e.g. financial markets, risk, reporting)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Fluency in Croatian and English
Previous experience in ESG, financial services, or regulatory topics is an advantage, but not required.
