WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role sits within Nike’s GC Local Creation organization and reports to the Senior Manager, Apparel Product Line Management, Expression, Local Creation GC. The Apparel Product Line Management team translates consumer, cultural, marketplace, and business insights into compelling product strategies and solutions for the Greater China marketplace.
The role focuses on the Nearshore portfolio, creating marketplace-right apparel solutions with accelerated timelines and disciplined end-to-end execution. You will work closely with Product Line Management teammates and partners across Design, Product Development, Technical Development, Materials, Costing, Sourcing, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Brand, Marketplace, Sports, and global teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a strategic, consumer-obsessed, collaborative, and results-oriented professional to join Nike’s Apparel Product Line Management organization for Greater China Local Creation. The ideal candidate brings a strong product point of view, deep curiosity about the GC consumer, commercial acumen, and the ability to turn insights into focused product direction.
The successful candidate is comfortable creating clarity in ambiguity, influencing across a matrix organization, and balancing consumer relevance, brand distinction, speed, quality, and profitability. They communicate with impact, build trusted partnerships, and lead work with accountability and inclusion.
Key requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically 6+ years of experience in apparel product management, merchandising, category management, product creation, or a related field within sportswear, fashion, outdoor, or consumer products.
Strong understanding of apparel product creation from consumer insight and brief development through design, development, commercialization, and marketplace launch.
Ability to translate consumer, cultural, trend, marketplace, and commercial insights into focused product strategies and recommendations.
Strong product sense, apparel knowledge, commercial acumen, and product storytelling capability.
Experience working effectively across functions and geographies in a matrix organization.
Strong communication, influence, presentation, problem-solving, organization, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple seasonal priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Professional working English is required. Mandarin capability for day-to-day collaboration in Greater China is strongly preferred.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will be accountable for the Nearshore portfolio, creating marketplace-right apparel solutions with accelerated timelines and disciplined end-to-end execution, helping deliver consumer-right, locally relevant apparel that fuels growth and deepens consumer connection in Greater China.
In this role, you will:
Lead the GC Apparel Nearshore product strategy and seasonal execution for assigned opportunities.
Identify rapid-response product opportunities using consumer signals, marketplace feedback, trends, and commercial performance.
Develop focused product briefs, line plans, price-value recommendations, and launch priorities that can be executed within accelerated timelines.
Partner with Design, Product Development, Materials, Costing, Sourcing, Merchandising, Planning, and Marketplace to manage speed, feasibility, quality, and margin.
Establish clear milestones, decisions, and escalation paths to keep Nearshore projects moving with discipline and transparency.
Drive product creation excellence from concept through commercialization, ensuring clear consumer value, product intent, and business impact.
Partner with Design, Product Development, Technical Development, Materials, Costing, Sourcing, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Brand, Marketplace, and Sports teams.
Use consumer insights, marketplace feedback, trend intelligence, competitive learning, and commercial data to inform decisions.
Create clear briefs and presentations that align cross-functional and global partners around the opportunity, priorities, and intended outcome.
Manage milestones, product information, risks, trade-offs, and decisions with accuracy and speed.
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, curiosity, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
