The Job
We are looking for an energetic and analytically strong finance professional with a pragmatic, down-to-earth mindset who is eager to join our Financial Control team at the heart of our finance organization. You have recently completed your degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics or have limited experience as a Junior Financial Controller. You will join a team of 9 Controllers. Together, the team is responsible for the financial control of our international organization. You will support the team of controllers in their work while having an on the job training and further development of your talent. You have a specific interest in accounting principles (IFRS and Dutch GAAP), to make sure we are always compliant. You are enthusiastic to help our fast-growing and changing organization to advance and to constantly challenge our current ways of working with the aim to improve and automate our processes.We believe it is important that you fit into our company. Therefore, you are a technically strong professional who knows how to make the complex easy. In addition, you are grounded, down-to-earth, a team player and have good sense of humour.
Your Mission
- Support the Financial Control team during the month-end and year-end closing process for various legal entities, including responsibility for selected profit & loss and balance sheet accounts.
- Set up and maintain balance sheet specifications and support year end closing and audits;
- Support Controllers with preparation and analysis of financial data of the subjects such as inventory, retail, marketing and capex as an example;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and the financial administration.
Your Talent
- Team player, who plays an important part of building a winning team;
- Proactive self-starter and have 0-1 years of relevant experience in a fast-growing international environment;
- HBO, Bachelor or Master degree in Finance – Business Economics;
- Results-driven with a positive attitude;
- Flexible, proactive and hands-on with a can-do mentality;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Experience in SAP is a plus;
- You have experience in cost control (marketing, royalties and logistic & distribution as example) and will support the Controllers with defined task packages;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English are essential.
This role is based in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. Working remotely from other countries is not possible.
