Your mission

• Interpret, design, and implement business requirements.
• Provide effort estimates to support project planning activities.
• Design low-maintenance, scalable, and sustainable software solutions.
• Reduce technical debt where appropriate.
• Liaise with peer system owners to assess, document, and mitigate upstream and downstream impacts.
• Build solutions using industry best practices, technologies, and standards.
• Maintain a quality-first approach by developing clean code and working closely with testing teams to ensure adequate testing, defect management, and timely resolution.
• Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Deploy solutions with appropriate planning, risk mitigation, and contingency measures.
• Support release management, runbook preparation, and hypercare activities.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Testing, and Digital Operations teams.
• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, including designs, constraints, and codebase documentation, to support knowledge sharing, cross-training, and impact assessments.
• Ensure compliance with organisational, legal, regulatory, security, and SOX requirements.

Your profile

Educational / Experience

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a Software Engineer or Developer role.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is desirable.
• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration within a team.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Technical / Functional

• Excellent knowledge of .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and MVC frameworks.
• Excellent knowledge of React and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern development tools such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
• Strong experience with relational databases, including Oracle (PL/SQL essential) and SQL Server.
• Experience building responsive web applications and user interfaces.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience creating and maintaining C# unit tests.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and managing cloud resources.
• Good understanding of source control and DevOps practices using Git and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Excellent time management and work prioritisation skills.
