Doorman / Porter (3 Positions)

Job Summary

Our client is seeking 3 professional Doormen/Porters to provide a warm welcome and exceptional first impression to guests at a luxury hotel in Oysterbay Dar Es Salaam. The successful candidates will assist guests with luggage, escort them within the hotel, and ensure outstanding customer service from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with luggage and escort them to their rooms.
• Open doors and provide directions within the hotel.
• Coordinate luggage handling during check-in and check-out.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming entrance area.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
• Work closely with the Front Office team to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures.
• Assist with transportation arrangements when required.
• Uphold the hotel’s customer service standards at all times.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Front Office Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Hotel Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a hotel or customer service environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle guests’ luggage safely.
• Professional appearance and friendly personality.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Previous luxury hotel experience is preferred.
