Factory Location: Stanwood, MI

Compensation: $28.69/hour

Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule: D shift 6:00pm to 6:00am, rotating 2,2,3

Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

Responsibilities

The Yard Driver (Yard Utility) will participate as a team member in a high volume, fast paced environment. The primary responsibility is to perform all required duties safely and efficiently, while delivering excellent customer service to our 3rd party drivers and customers by fulfilling orders in an efficient manner.

•Adhere to all required safety requirements, company policies, and procedures•Adhere to all factory and department policies and procedures preventative maintenance of the yard truck•Moving trailers in and out of the dock in a timely manner.; Inspect trailers and loads in the yard and on the dock as needed•Timely and accurate loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks per pick ticket requirements•Troubleshoot equipment problems, make basic repairs and document adjustments•Prepare and continuously document all reporting requirements accurately and timely•Interact with warehouse team members, production and quality control to maximize output efficiency, quality and safety•Manage relationships with peers and teammates to ensure achievement of departmental and plant goals.•Follow plant standards and execute recycle program including operation of grinder and balers•Maintain product food safety and quality standard by adhering to Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and following standard requirements per the Quality Monitoring Scheme (QMS)

 

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent•1 year verifiable driving experience•Strong oral and written communication skills•Professionalism•Excellent organizational and analytical skills•Tactful interaction with customers and co-workers•Ability to achieve set goals•Friendly and positive attitude•Flexibility with work hours•Forklift certified•Fluent English language written and oral•Continuous Improvement methods•SAP and IM Data Pass•Basic computer skills (Microsoft office)

 

Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with

customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding

customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
