The role partners with Business Q&RA, Government Relations, other Corporate functions and external information providers to enhance regulatory awareness, support enterprise alignment and provide regulatory intelligence that enables business-led implementation across Corporate Regulatory Affairs' remit.

The role operates through a structured regulatory intelligence model that:

  • Captures enterprise-relevant regulatory signals from internal and external sources.

  • Assesses developments using risk-based criteria to determine business impact and priority.

  • Synthesises technical and policy information into actionable intelligence.

  • Disseminates intelligence through appropriate governance and communication channels.

  • Routes regulatory intelligence to the appropriate owners to support assessment, business-led implementation, policy development, monitoring or escalation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain visibility of priority regulatory developments, implementation milestones and emerging trends to support enterprise decision-making.

  • Translate complex regulatory and policy information into clear, actionable intelligence and coordinate dissemination through appropriate governance and communication channels.

  • Track priority regulatory developments and maintain regulatory intelligence dashboards, metrics and trend analyses to support visibility, prioritisation and informed decision-making.

Policy and External Engagement Support

  • Monitor regulatory policy developments in priority markets and coordinate the development of briefing materials, impact assessments, consultation responses and policy analyses by bringing together input from Business Q&RA, subject matter experts and functional stakeholders.

  • Capture and synthesise insights from regulatory agencies, industry associations, policy forums, conferences and other external engagements, and support preparation for senior external interactions.

Regulatory Risk and Strategic Planning Support

  • Identify emerging regulatory risks, opportunities and cross-cutting trends that may affect compliance, market access, business operations or strategic priorities.

  • Provide regulatory intelligence and analysis to support enterprise risk discussions, strategic planning and business reviews.

  • Partner with Business Q&RA, Government Relations and other Corporate functions to promote awareness, prioritisation and enterprise alignment on regulatory developments.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of regulatory intelligence practices, capabilities and knowledge sharing across the enterprise.

Required Experience and Capabilities

  • Minimum of 8 years' related experience, or an advanced degree with 6 years' related experience.

  • Experience in regulatory intelligence, regulatory affairs, regulatory policy, government affairs, public policy or a related discipline within a global organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience monitoring, assessing and communicating regulatory developments and their potential business impact.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory intelligence principles, methodologies and information sources.

  • Strong digital mindset, including experience using technology, AI-enabled tools or data-driven approaches to improve information management, analysis and decision-making.

  • Experience analysing complex regulatory, legislative or policy developments and translating implications into practical business insights.

  • Experience working effectively across functions and stakeholders in a matrix environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgement in assessing regulatory significance, business impact and prioritisation.

  • Experience preparing briefing materials, analyses, presentations or written communications for management audiences.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience with industry associations, regulatory agencies or policy forums preferred.
