Job Statement

As Project Geologist, reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will deliver project‑focused geological work while promoting a strong understanding of geological frameworks and mineralisation controls. This role is integral to supporting underground production and resource development, working closely with site operations to optimise mining outcomes, whilst contributing to a positive team culture of safety, collaboration and excellence.

The role is on offer at Ulysses, a well established underground gold operation offering a technically engaging geological environment, on a Lifestyle 8 days on 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth.

Key responsibilities will also include:

• Review and optimise drilling and mining projects
• Develop, maintain, and oversee geology, mineralisation, and structural models of deposits
• Develop an understanding of local and mine-scale controls on mineralisation and grade
• Conduct operational geology activities to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution
• Produce geological sections, plans, and long sections; maintain wireframes and run grade control models in Leapfrog / Datamine
• Assist the Senior Mine Geologist in developing life-of-mine drilling plans and strategies
• Support day-to-day mine geology activities, including mentoring geologists underground as required

About you

You bring a strong passion for geology, a high level of curiosity, and a people‑first mindset to your work. You thrive in fast‑paced underground environments and enjoy tackling project‑based challenges. With a collaborative approach, you work effectively alongside operations and technical teams while balancing and supporting production demands.

You’ll also bring:

• Bachelor Science (Geology Major)
• Substantial underground experience in a similar Project Geologist role 
• Substantial experience working in Gold deposits
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Mining
• Strong safety focus and team-first attitude
• Manual C Class Driver’s License (minimum)
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
