Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Recordkeeping in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help identify and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations.
• Communicate professionally with retail personnel, visitors, and local responders while assisting with directions, lost-property inquiries, and other routine service needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
