Description

💸 Up to USD 22,000 per year, on a full time, contractor contract
🌎 Fully remote working with working hours of 9:00am–5:30pm PT.
🎬 Working with globally recognisable brands in US animation
✨ A craft role with AI agents, skills and automation at the centre of how the work gets made — not bolted onto it
💻 High-end, fast computer and all the latest creative software and AI tools you'll need

About the Role

If nostalgic cartoons have a place in your heart and the absurd side of TikTok makes perfect sense to you, we'd like to meet you. We're looking for someone who spots the funny, unexpected potential in a moment and knows how to turn a good idea into something a team can deliver.

As our Social Content Producer, you'll combine creative ideation with day-to-day production management. You'll pitch social ideas, write clear briefs, work directly with clients and keep editors and designers moving towards a shared deadline. You'll help make content too: mocking up a concept or putting together a simple asset when the brief calls for it.

Your strengths are creative judgment, communication and organisation. Experience making content is a bonus, whether that comes from a job, a personal account or a project of your own. You don't need to be a professional editor or designer. If the creative and production-management parts sound like you, we'd still like to hear from you.

Storm is an AI-native agency. AI tools and agentic workflows are central to how our teams work, and we hire people who want to work that way from day one.

We're not talking about using AI as a search box or an autocomplete. The person we're looking for treats AI as a capable pair of hands. They delegate whole pieces of work, not just questions. They review what comes back with a sharp, critical eye. And they keep refining how they brief and direct it, so the quality compounds. If you read that and thought "that's just how I work now," this role is built for you.

You'll learn the ground first: what we make and the bar it has to hit. Funny, well-timed social videos. Static posts with a strong idea. Then you'll work from Storm's stack of AI and creative tools, and play a real part in improving how this role gets done.

About Storm Ideas

Founded in 2008, Storm Ideas is an international team working with globally recognised clients, particularly across the US TV and entertainment industry.

Our work sits at the intersection of media, technology, creativity, and operations. We build products, produce content at scale, design smarter ways for clients and internal teams to work, and keep looking for new ways to improve how the company operates.

We are a remote-first, fast-moving company with established clients, a growing team, and a strong appetite for better tools, better systems, and better ways of working. AI is central to how we operate — every team, every role, this one included.

What You'll Make Happen

  • Take social content from idea to delivery. Keep briefs, people, feedback and deadlines connected, with AI tools and agentic workflows as your default way of working.
  • Become obsessed with the content and its world. Immerse yourself in the shows, characters, humour and fan communities you work with. Watch source material, build a bank of standout moments and learn what fans love, quote and share until you're someone the team turns to for ideas and insight.
  • Find where that content belongs on social. Follow how audiences reinterpret it through memes, trends and conversations across platforms. Connect that knowledge with your own creative instincts to pitch original concepts, hooks and recurring formats that feel natural in people's feeds and give familiar moments new relevance.
  • Turn ideas into practical briefs. Give editors and designers the context, references, source moments, formats, specifications and deliverables they need to make strong work.
  • Keep production moving. Coordinate assignments and priorities with the team, organise footage and assets, track dependencies and approvals, and keep calendars and project records accurate. Spot clashes early and bring realistic options when deadlines or scope change.
  • Become a trusted, key point of contact for your clients. Build relationships through regular face-to-face video calls and clear day-to-day communication. Present ideas, explain creative choices, ask thoughtful questions and understand their priorities. Follow through on commitments and turn feedback into clear actions so clients trust you to keep the work moving and know what happens next.
  • Contribute to making the content. Develop rough visual concepts and simple assets, building your hands-on skills with support from the team and Storm's tools.
  • Give useful creative feedback and check the finished work. Review storytelling, humour, pacing, tone, accuracy, specifications and brand fit before delivery. Check anything AI has contributed with the same care, and treat rights and brand safety as fixed points.
  • Use AI to improve everyday delivery. Delegate work such as organising research, preparing briefs, consolidating feedback or checking a production plan, then validate the result against the source. Keep files, versions and handovers clear enough for people and agents to pick up reliably.
  • Solve problems and keep learning. Investigate blockers before escalating with context and options. Build your knowledge of social platforms, our tools and the content we make; use feedback and performance learnings to sharpen the next idea.
  • Keep improving how the work gets done: encode your best methods into reusable skills and workflows that agents and teammates can pick up and run, and teach what works so the whole team levels up with you.

Your Expertise

  • Creative instincts grounded in social culture. You understand hooks, humour, storytelling and platform behaviour, and can explain why an idea fits its audience. You bring your own perspective rather than simply copying a trend.
  • Reliable production or project coordination. You can show how you organise moving parts, prioritise work, follow through and keep others informed. Relevant examples can come from employment, studies, volunteering or projects you've run yourself.
  • Confident communication. You can pitch an idea, write a usable brief, give constructive feedback and handle a client conversation calmly when priorities change.
  • Real AI capability. You already use AI tools and agents to carry out substantial pieces of work in your job, studies or personal projects. You can explain what you delegated, how you directed it, what you checked and what you changed.
  • Sound judgment and attention to detail. You question incomplete information, catch mistakes and review outputs against the brief, source material and audience. You stay accurate when the pace picks up.
  • Ownership and a habit of improving things. You notice repeatable work, develop better ways to do it and follow improvements through. You share what works and distinguish useful new tools from noise.
  • Comfort learning tools. You can keep shared trackers, asset libraries and calendars organised, and pick up the creative tools needed to contribute. Experience editing, designing or making content is welcome, including personal and self-taught work.

What It's Like To Work Here

Modern Tools & A Real AI Stack

You'll work with creative software and AI tools supported by our AI Operations team, with people around you who are actively improving how we work.

Your Methods Can Become How The Team Works

We actively encourage people to bring forward better ways of working. When a method you develop proves itself, you won't just use it quietly: you'll encode it as a skill others can run, teach it to the team, and watch it become the new standard, with your name on it.

Team-Based

You'll work closely with production, creative and account colleagues across an international, remote-first team, sharing ideas and taking responsibility for your part in the delivery.

Remote-First

Fully remote. Working hours are 9:00am–5:30pm Pacific Time (PT).
