Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Transport Laborer As a Transport Laborer you will provide assistance and support resources to Arcwood Transport and contracted drivers arriving at our landfill to offload containers and dump trucks.
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Removes tarps and bows from dump trucks and containers; completes container lining and maintenance
- Removes residual waste from trucks/container tailgates after loads are dumped at landfill; cleans/washes and inspects containers prior to their departure from site
- Removes placards and labels using scrapers from previous generators after trucks and containers are dumped
- Cleans any spills that occur in the unloading area
- Hooks and unhooks trailers while operator is moving equipment into the desired area
- Inspects container tarps, bungee cords, bows, ratchet binders, tailgate seals, and general container integrity
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education
- High-school diploma or equvialent (required)Experience
- 1+ years of related experience (preferred); appropriate training will be provided
