JOB PURPOSE:

The Marketing Assistant is overseen by the Performance Events Coordinator, and works for the CAS Department of Music to promote the performances and events produced at Lewis & Clark College (ensemble concerts, academic department and student performances, faculty and student recitals, collaborative performances, etc.).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the polished and professional publicity of concerts and events during the academic year. This includes but is not limited to: preparing content for department social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram), planning and building a publicity schedule, gathering information for email blasts, organizing and building mailing lists, and entering LC Music Events on local event calendars. The Marketing Assistant will also help organize campaigns and develop marketing strategies through weekly meetings with the Performance Events Coordinator and other creative team members.

 

The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized and communicative with a customer-oriented approach, demonstrates the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines, as well as budgets. The Marketing Assistant should have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, online template makers, Zoom, Google Docs/Sheets, and MS Office. Video editing software is a plus. This person needs to have a keen eye for quality video, as well as photography skills.

RATE OF PAY:

$16.80 per hour
