KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use internal site administration tools to schedule and manage media placements across Rakuten's website and app, including higher-complexity or higher-visibility campaigns.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for merchant partners and internal stakeholders, leading placement coordination from asset collection through launch.
- Manage ongoing communication with merchant partners and internal teams to ensure placement assets are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule — proactively resolving issues before they escalate.
- Own end-to-end QA on placements across various surfaces, verifying creative, links, targeting, scheduling, and overall user experience prior to launch.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase team efficiency, reduce errors, and scale operational capacity.
- Support onboarding and training of Coordinators on tools, workflows, and quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Creative, and other internal teams, as well as external merchant partners, to drive successful campaign execution across the portfolio.
- Lead execution of high-priority campaigns during Q4 and other peak periods, managing elevated volume and competing deadlines with minimal oversight.

- Demonstrated expertise with internal scheduling tools, content management systems, and affiliate network platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM or similar systems; ability to maintain clean records and surface relevant data to stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an exacting attention to detail across a high volume of concurrent campaigns.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills — comfortable managing complex stakeholder conversations and escalating appropriately.
- Proven ability to independently prioritize and execute across competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-directed with sound judgment; able to make execution decisions without waiting for direction on routine issues.
- Track record of identifying workflow gaps and driving improvements through to implementation.
- Collaborative team player who can also serve as a resource and informal mentor for junior team members.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, with intermediate-to-advanced comfort in Sheets/Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in site operations, digital merchandising, campaign coordination, or a related role.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
