Assistant Dean, Williams College of Business (WCB) Undergraduate Programs
Xavier University is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Assistant Dean for the Undergraduate Program in the Williams College of Business to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for undergraduate student success. This role leads and supports initiatives related to academic administration, advising, enrollment management, retention, persistence, and timely degree completion while serving as a key resource for students, faculty, and families.
The Assistant Dean collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and campus partners to promote academic excellence and a student-centered experience. The successful candidate will be a thoughtful problem solver, strategic partner, and strong communicator who can navigate complex academic policies, support student advocacy, and advance initiatives that strengthen undergraduate programs and services. Grounded in Xavier’s Jesuit mission and commitment to cura personalis, this position plays an essential role in educating the whole person and fostering an inclusive environment where business students can learn, grow, and thrive.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Academic Policies & Processes: Implement academic policies, manage student academic processes, and ensure compliance with university and accreditation standards.
Undergraduate Programs & Operations: Support undergraduate programs, experiential learning, student organizations, scholarships, and co-curricular initiatives.
Advising & Retention: Provide student-centered advising and support initiatives that promote retention, persistence, and timely graduation.
Student Support & Advocacy: Advocate for students and connect them with campus resources to address academic, personal, and financial challenges.
Recruitment, Enrollment & Course Management: Support recruitment, enrollment, registration, course scheduling, and data-informed enrollment planning.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
