Description

Start your career as a Savory Associate Application Technologist, turning flavors and ingredients into delicious soups, sauces, recipe mixes snacks, processed meat and plant-based foods. Work hands-on in our labs and kitchens, creating prototypes and supporting sensory evaluation with subsequent report and presentation. Learn from experienced flavor experts. Your key responsibilities:

•Coordinate and support flavor applications and associated technical activities across a variety of savory projects, contributing to innovation launches.

•Support defined technical projects and formulations, developing savory application bases and prototype concepts that showcase dsm‑firmenich flavors, ingredients, and technologies.

•Participate in savory formulation work across savory applications.

•Apply technical knowledge of flavors, ingredients, formulations, and savory processes while collaborating closely with internal technical partners and contributing to the broader applications community.

•Support sensory tastings and sample preparation, record data, recipes, and observations clearly.

•Attend global customer meetings, work sessions, and technical discussions in partnership with sales and senior technical colleagues.

You bring:

•Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering or a related scientific discipline with approximately 1–3 years of relevant industry experience.

•Fluent in English (French language speaking is an asset).

•Experience on supporting savory or flavor applications; exposure to savory is preferred but not required.

•Demonstrated formulation skills in food systems, with the ability to troubleshoot formulations with guidance and collaboration from the team.

•Solid organizational and project coordination skills, with experience supporting multiple projects in parallel.

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and support technical interactions. Sense of accountability, curiosity, open minded, innovative and collaborative mindset.
