Senior Software Engineer – C# / Unity Game Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer (C# / Unity Game Developer) to join our growing development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Electronic Table Games (ETG) for casino gaming environments. You will work closely with Game Analysts, QA Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver engaging, reliable, and compliant gaming experiences that meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and regulatory requirements.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative gaming products while working with modern technologies and industry-leading game development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain electronic table games using C# and the Unity3D game engine, based on requirements provided by the Game Design and Game Analyst teams.
- Transform detailed game specifications into high-quality, scalable, and performant software solutions.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and robust code aligned with established engineering standards and best practices.
- Perform comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Game Analysts, QA teams, artists, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in technical design and architectural discussions, contributing innovative solutions and engineering expertise.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, performance issues, and stability concerns in a timely manner.
- Optimize game performance, memory utilization, and rendering efficiency for fixed-hardware and embedded gaming platforms.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation details, and support materials.
- Adhere to coding standards, development processes, version control practices, and agile methodologies.
- Communicate project status, risks, challenges, and recommendations effectively to team members and management.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Unity3D, including:
- Gameplay programming
- UI/UX implementation
- Animation systems
- Game state management
- Performance optimization
- Proficiency in C# programming with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software engineering best practices.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design principles, and common design patterns such as:
- MVC
- Observer Pattern
- State Machine
- Dependency Injection
- Experience designing and developing reusable, scalable, and maintainable software components.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Experience with source control and version management tools such as Git, Perforce, or SVN.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks, continuous integration practices, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis skills.
- Experience profiling and optimizing rendering performance, memory usage, and application responsiveness within Unity.
- Experience developing games or applications for Electronic Gaming Machines (EGM), Electronic Table Games (ETG), or other regulated gaming environments is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within highly regulated industries such as gaming, gambling, financial services, or similar compliance-driven environments.
- Knowledge of casino gaming systems, progressive jackpots, and multiplayer game architecture.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaborative development practices.
