Project Manager
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Role Type: Predominantly office based, with site visits and meetings as required
About the Company
Our client is an established Cheltenham-based home improvement company specialising in bespoke conservatories, orangeries, extensions, garden rooms and creative living spaces, alongside aluminium, uPVC and timber windows and doors. They manage projects from design through to installation and have a multi-skilled team covering the different stages of the build.
The Role
We are looking for a confident and organised Project Manager with a construction background to support the management and coordination of building and installation projects.
This is primarily an office-based role, working closely with the management team, trades and installers to ensure projects are properly organised, cost controlled and progressing to schedule. Site visits will be required when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate trades and installers.
- Produce and maintain schedules of works.
- Check project paperwork, worksheets and documentation.
- Monitor labour rates, project costs and expenditure.
- Assist with costing installation and building projects.
- Visit sites to check progress and quality of works.
- Liaise with trades, installers and the management team.
- Deal with Building Control and associated requirements.
- Attend site and project meetings as required.
- Help coordinate an increasing volume of extension, renovation and builders' work.
About You
- Previous experience within construction, building, renovations or home improvements.
- Good practical understanding of building works and project coordination.
- Confident working independently and taking responsibility for tasks.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage several priorities.
- Comfortable dealing with trades, installers and site personnel.
- Able to monitor costs and ensure project information is accurate.
- CAD or AutoCAD experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
