Valmet's Global Financial Operations (GFO) is looking for Financial Controller to join our newly combined Project & Service Delivery Accounting team.
In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, controllers, finance teams, and operational experts globally to ensure accurate accounting, support business needs, and drive continuous improvement across our end-to-end processes. We are looking for proactive professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, developing new solutions, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
About the team
Valmet Global Financial Operations is a centre of excellence with more than 200 finance professionals around the world. We are responsible for Valmet's operative accounting processes and continuously invest in harmonization, automation, and process development.
The Project & Service Delivery Accounting team is responsible for revenue and cost recognition, project accounting, inventory accounting, costing-related master data, financial controls, and process development globally.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition for project and service delivery business globally
- Monitor project accounting and revenue recognition processes and related controls
- Manage relevant subledgers, reconciliations, interfaces and balance sheet specifications
- Monitor inventory valuation and related accounting processes
- Support month-end closing activities and financial control activities.
- Collaborate closely with Business Finance and other stakeholders globally
- Provide expertise on accounting principles, processes and systems
- Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in development and automation initiatives
- Investigate and resolve accounting and process-related issues
What Will Help You Succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Several years of relevant experience in accounting, controlling, finance operations, or business finance
- Understanding of revenue recognition, project accounting, cost accounting, and/or inventory accounting
- Good understanding of end-to-end business and finance processes
- Experience with ERP systems and modern reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Development-oriented mindset and ability to drive improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
