Strategic Investment Operations Lead, Securities Lending

Job Summary

Responsible for defining, designing, and driving the next generation of Securities Lending operating models, workflows, technology capabilities, automation, and data solutions to enable scalable growth, improve client outcomes, and reduce operational risk. Acts as a strategic partner across Operations, Technology, Product, and Industry stakeholders to shape the future state of Securities Lending.  Serves as the "forward-looking architect" for Securities Lending Operations, combining deep industry expertise, strategic process design, emerging technology awareness, and transformation leadership to shape how work will be performed in the future.

Role Profile

• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, workflow design, operational architecture, and transformation initiatives
• Strong project and program management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across Operations, Technology, Risk, Product, and business partners
• Active engagement with industry forums, market participants, vendors, and thought leadership to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data-driven insights to support decision-making and operational improvement
• Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, with a focus on emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, digital assets, cloud technologies, and fintech innovations
• Ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable operating models, technology requirements, and actionable roadmaps

Key Outcomes and Responsibilities

Strategic Process & Operating Model Leadership

• Develop and maintain a multi-year operational improvement roadmap aligned to Securities Lending Operations business objectives
• Design future-state workflows and operating models that improve efficiency, control effectiveness, and reduce risk
• Establish clear process ownership, governance, and performance measurement frameworks

Project & Change Leadership

• Lead local and global project teams from ideation through implementation, ensuring delivery of prioritized outcomes
• Influence and gain alignment across IMG, Technology, Risk, and Operations stakeholders
• Drive adoption of new capabilities through effective change management and stakeholder engagement

Industry Intelligence & Innovation

• Monitor industry, regulatory, fintech, and market structure developments to identify opportunities and risks
• Benchmark operational capabilities against industry best practices and leading market participants
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate innovative solutions and emerging operating models

Technology & Digital Enablement

• Identify, evaluate, and champion opportunities for automation, AI, advanced analytics, and workflow optimization
• Partner with technology teams to shape platform enhancements and future-state capabilities
• Serve as a trusted advisor on operational implications of new technologies and digital transformation initiatives

Business Performance & Risk Reduction

• Improve process health through proactive management of quality, risk, control, and compliance measures
• Reduce operational touchpoints, exceptions, and rework through simplification and automation
• Influence prioritization across technology, data, and systems workstreams to maximize business value
