What You Will Do:

The Senior Instructional Designer will support the Partner Enablement organization by designing and developing instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, videos, and performance support resources for customers and channel partners. Working closely with Partner Enablement leaders, instructors, and subject matter experts, this role will translate complex technical concepts into effective learning experiences that drive product knowledge, technical proficiency, and business results.

How You Will Do It:

  • Design and develop engaging learning solutions, including instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, video-based learning, learning guides, and job aids.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and develop effective training programs.
  • Create storyboards, facilitator guides, participant materials, assessments, videos, and performance support resources.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with Partner Enablement leaders, instructors, and business stakeholders throughout the development process.
  • Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously while meeting quality, timeline, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Leverage learning technologies, authoring tools, multimedia solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance learning experiences.
  • Support curriculum maintenance and content updates to align with product releases, business priorities, and learner feedback.
  • Ensure learning content is accurate, consistent, scalable, and aligned with global standards.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements based on learner feedback, business needs, and performance outcomes.
  • Stay current on instructional design best practices, learning technologies, and emerging trends within the learning and development industry.
  • Contribute to a collaborative global learning team environment focused on delivering high-quality customer and partner education:

What We Look For:

  • 5-10 years of experience designing and developing learning solutions.
  • 5+ years of instructional design experience, including curriculum development and storyboarding.
  • Experience developing instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), eLearning, and multimedia learning solutions.
  • Experience partnering with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to develop technical training programs.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting corporate learning and development programs in a global organization preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE and Agile.
  • Familiarity with learning evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick and Phillips ROI preferred

Technical Skills:

  • ·Experience with learning authoring and multimedia development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar applications.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies.
  • Ability to analyze learning effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to quickly learn Johnson Controls products, solutions, and industry concepts.
