Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Gastroenterology (1.0 FTE)

Gundersen Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our Gastroenterology department.  This position performs the functions of examining, assessing, planning, and implementing the health care of GI patients under the general supervision of a licensed physician. 

The successful candidate will work in an outpatient setting with occasional hospital daytime consult responsibilities and no night call.   The ability to work independently with the support of a physician is critical. Formal Education/Learning Experience Required: PA's and NP's must be graduates of approved programs, be certified and/or licensed in the appropriate States and be able to prescribe according to regulations of the States. Must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.  Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician.  Clinician staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.  Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all clinicians.
