Tax Executive

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking a Tax Executive to join a growing professional services team. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the selected candidate will support the delivery of tax compliance services across a diverse client portfolio while building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of corporate tax compliance documentation for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Support the preparation and submission of individual tax returns.
• Assist with responding to client queries and providing day-to-day support on tax-related matters.
• Gather and analyse client data for tax assessments, including projects related to international tax requirements and transfer pricing.
• Coordinate the timely preparation and filing of tax documentation.
• Maintain accurate client information and internal reporting records.
• Organise and manage tax-related documentation and filing systems.
• Support the implementation of internal tax department procedures and processes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify efficiencies, improve processes, and ensure a high standard of client service.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
• Up to 2 years of experience within tax, accounting, or a related financial environment.
• Basic understanding of the Maltese tax framework and a strong willingness to develop further expertise.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Maltese.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as SAGE will be considered an asset.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
