Q201602: Cabinet Drafter (Cabinet Vision)

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in custom cabinetry and joinery to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will understand cabinetry construction and manufacturing processes and be able to interpret drawings and specifications to determine materials, labour, hardware, and other project costs. This role will support a variety of high-end cabinetry and fit-out projects, requiring strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, and the ability to produce accurate and competitive estimates within project deadlines.

Salary Range: 30,000 - 40,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri |6am - 3pm

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed cabinetry and joinery drawings using Cabinet Vision.
• Interpret architectural drawings, plans, sketches, and project specifications.
• Develop accurate drawings and models for kitchens, vanities, wardrobes, custom joinery, and commercial fit-outs.
• Prepare cabinetry designs and documentation suitable for manufacturing and installation.
• Ensure dimensions, materials, fittings, hardware, and construction details are accurately reflected in drawings.
• Make revisions and updates based on project requirements and client or site changes.
• Review drawings for accuracy, functionality, and constructability before production.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical or drafting issues.
• Maintain organised project files and ensure drawings are completed within required deadlines.
• Apply knowledge of Australian cabinet-making practices, standards, and manufacturing requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CAD Drafter / Cabinet Drafter within the cabinet-making or joinery industry.
• Strong proficiency in Cabinet Vision.
• Solid understanding of cabinetry construction, joinery, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing production-ready cabinetry drawings.
• Ability to accurately interpret architectural plans, sketches, and specifications.
• Understanding of Australian cabinet-making and joinery practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Good problem-solving and technical drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with commercial fit-outs, hospitality, hotel, or custom joinery projects is an advantage.
